Features and Attributes of Sea Eagle SE 370
Lightweight and Portable:
You may have many different reasons to go for this amazing kayak, but one of its trademark qualities is that it is lightweight and portable. It deflates easily and can be packed into its bag which can easily be carried by one person.
Its ability to be rolled up into a small package gives you the ability to keep it in the trunk of your vehicle. It comes at a weight of 14.5 kg, so you can actually take it on flights to some desired kayaking destinations.
Solid Construction:
Sea Eagle 370 is made up of 38 mm PolyKrylar which is K80 PVC which is uniform throughout for clean and perfect welding. This material welds smoothly and evenly ensuring that two different pieces become one for the highest quality.
If you ever come into contact with a pointed object, its highly tear-resistant build will ensure that a small puncture does not zipper into a big problem. Moreover, it is sun and saltwater-resistant, which really makes it durable.
Great Carrying Capacity:
One of the features that you are going to love about this beast is that it has got a very great carrying capacity. At a capacity of 650 pounds with its 12.5' length and 34-inch width, it gives you the ability to carry a lot of fishing and camping gear.
Quick Inflation Time:
Sea Eagle 370 comes with five one-way valves which means that you can pump air into the kayak without having to worry about it coming out. You can use the foot pump that comes with it to set up this inflatable kayak and it will take about 10 mins.
Sea Eagle has three chambers and they are inflated separately, so even if one of the chambers gets punctured, the remaining two chambers can carry you to safety.
The side chambers have pressure gauges that give you the ability to pump the right amount of air. In turn, it prevents over or under-inflation of the chambers. Unlike side chambers, the floor does not have these pressure gauges, so you are on your own with the floor.
Rear Skegs for Better Tracking and Speed:
Another thing I really like about this yak is that it provides better tracking than you would expect from an inflatable kayak thanks to the two rear skegs. These skegs are extremely durable and are made of molded plastic.
Increased Stability and Rigidity with Improved Floor Design
Earlier, Sea Eagle kayaks had a seven-tube floor construction. Just recently, they have completely revised it to a five-tube I-beam floor design.
This design revamp has drastically improved SE370’s stability and rigidity as the majority of the kayak’s weight now rests on the floor rather than the side chambers.
Versatility:
The Sea Eagle 370’s all-around versatility makes it a go-to kayak whether you are looking to paddle on flat waters like ponds or lakes or you are taking it for a trip to a rapid river. It is rated to handle class III whitewater, so you can expect it to fare pretty well on most rivers.
Another feature that really adds to its ability as a recreational kayak on rapid rivers is the fact that it is self-bailing. This is a feature you will have to work really hard to find in another recreational inflatable kayak.
Seating:
The standard Sea Eagle 370 comes with two seats that are also inflatable and are very comfortable. The seats provide a lot of back support and come with supportive straps that can be adjusted.
The seats have back pouches, they are not big, but you can use them to put your cell phone, a compass, or even a snack.
Accessories:
The base configuration comes with everything you need to put yourself on the water. It includes the following accessories:
Sea Eagle 370 Deluxe VS Pro
Sea Eagle SE370 comes in two different packages; Pro and the Deluxe. They are almost the same except for the fact that Pro comes with better seats which are more comfortable than the standard seats with the Deluxe package. They provide better back support.
This improvement comes at a cost when comparing the packages, Deluxe package is around $30 cheaper than the Pro. In essence, there is no real difference between the two except for the seats.
Optional Configurations/Modifications: With the base Deluxe or package, Sea Eagle 370 comes with two other different configuration options which give the customer the ability to chose the kayak of his/her needs and these include:
Sea Eagle 370 Sports Fishing Package: Along with the usual accessories for Sea Eagle 370, this configuration has been adapted for your fishings in that it gives you fishing rod holder attachments and a storage box for all of your fishing gear.
Sea Eagle QuickSail: This package along with the usual accessories comes with a 14 sq ft Neil pride sail and its storage bag and this extends up to 81” to take your kayaking experience to a whole new level.
Sea Eagle 330 VS Sea Eagle 370
These two kayaks are similar in terms of construction and other attributes but differ in their size, weight capacity, and the number of passengers they can accommodate.
Sea Eagle 330 is about a foot shorter than 370 and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds versus 650 of SE370. SE330 takes about 6 minutes to inflate as opposed to 10 minutes of Sea Eagle 370.
Sea Eagle 330 is cheaper than SE370 and with its smaller size is more maneuverable.
They are both portable and easy to store, come with removable skegs, and both at 34″ width provide a stable platform.
In terms of usage, their major difference lies in the fact that Sea Eagle 330 is made for solo paddlers who occasionally want to have the option of tandem padding. However, Sea Eagle 370 is made for tandem paddles and gives them the ability to turn it a solo when required.
Here is a chart showing their main features.

Frequently Asked Questions For Sea Eagle 370
Conclusion:
If you are an occasional paddler and don't want to spend much on a quality kayak, we would recommend SE 330/370 hands down. They might be expensive than other similar kayaks, but their ability to track well and an indestructible construction material put them a mile above the rest.
It is a highly versatile kayak in that you can take it to different conditions ranging from flat waters to class III rapids. Its larger length provides stability on choppy waters and as it is convertible between solo and tandem it provides a great value.
While the paddles it comes with could have been better, its portability, versatility, and affordability make it one of the top inflatable kayaks we have in the market.
I bought two sea Eagle 330, unpacked one followed the direction for inflation and it lost air in two chambers (near complete deflation) with 2 hours. Contacted company they gave some suggestions to prevent the problem,, I followed them but same result. I returned both kayak and company says they are fine and won’t reimburse shipping cost. Be forewarned
Hello Mike,
My experience and some of my fellows’ experience with Sea Eagle customer service has always been great. If your chambers lost air and got punctured during your trip, this does not qualify them for a replacement. You can always use the puncture kit to patch some minor punctures. Otherwise, this may be a one-off occurrence.
